It seemingly took an article in the Daily Maul and photographs by ‘Insiders’ to initiate a campaign to rescue the Old Town Hall. Will the same now result after similar coverage of the neglected Loxley Old Church (1787)?
The Loxley Valley has other problems/issues – it contains the largest amount of industrial archaeology of any of the Sheffield Rivers. A Friends Group seems a logical step forward. Is anyone else up for it?
As for those who twittered about not saving old buildings – shame on ye – you could have ended up with a city centre like Milton Keynes.
As Victor would say: “ I don’t believe it.”
