WHAT a difference a year – and six inches of snow – makes.
This time in 2010 we were shivering and slithering around in snow and ice (and -6° frosts) with much more on the way.
Schools were closing, roads blocked and the council had already used 2,500 tonnes of grit to try and keep routes open.
But just look at the picture below of Chatsworth the other day by Star reader John Leigh – taken as temperatures soared to 60 degrees-plus.
Global warming? Or just daft British weather like it’s always been?
Not sure, but The Diary is enjoying it while it lasts.
