Former miners and their families are invited to share their strike memories for a special event.
Staff at the Experience Barnsley museum are inviting people to share their memories of the 1984-5 miners’ strike at a special event next Thursday, April 24, from 5pm to 7pm.
A spokesman said: “It’s an opportunity to listen to accounts of those who lived through the strike and for people to recall their own experiences of the time.
“There will also be a chance to view the Coal Not Dole: Women Against Pit Closures exhibition.”
The event takes place at Experience Barnsley in Barnsley Town Hall and is free to attend.
But spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
