Recycling centres in Rotherham are to close one day a week to save funds.
The household waste recycling centres in North Anston will be closed on Tuesdays, the site at Bramley is to shut on Fridays and those at Greasborough and Rawmarsh will close on Wednesdays and Thursdays respectively.
The changes will apply from June 1 and are being made to achieve savings.
Adrian Gabriel, waste manager for Rotherham Council, said: “By taking this action we have ensured that no centre is closed completely and there will always be an alternative open in Rotherham for the public to use on days when their usual site is closed.”
The centres will still be open from 10am to 6.30pm in the summer and until 4pm from October.
