A recruitment day is to be held next week to fill the ‘dozens of jobs’ being created at a new waste treatment facility in Rotherham.
The £750 million development will be built by waste firm Shanks in Bolton Road, Manvers, and, it is claimed, is set to ‘revolutionise’ the treatment of household waste.
The plant, which will open in July next year, will deal with waste from Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster.
The recruitment day will be held at Wath Community Library next Wednesday, September 17, 9am to 7pm.
Shanks contracts director Colin Fletcher said: “We have made a small number of appointments to specialist positions already and are now keen to recruit the rest of the team. We need to fill a wide range of roles and look forward to taking this major step forward and getting people on board ready for the opening next summer.”
