THINGS are really cooking for Nick Bentley – who has just secured a dream job working for celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.
The former Barnsley College catering student will work at world famous Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons double Michelin-starred restaurant in Oxfordshire.
Nick, aged 20, showed all the ingredients for a successful career while completing a two-and-a-half-year course at the college.
He was one of the first students on the new City and Guilds 7100 Professional Cookery and Advanced Professional Cookery course and went on a placement at Blanc’s flagship restaurant.
They liked what they saw – and Nick was placed on Le Manoir’s Talent List, an initiative for successful candidates who had the skills to make the grade.
