Ready to get ball rolling in fundraising match

A FUNDRAISING football match will take place at Bramall Lane with proceeds going to Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Sheffield and District Fair Play League's cup final kicks off at midday on Bank Holiday Monday May 25, with entry costing 2. Gates open at 9.45am and there will be a warm-up games and a penalty shoot-out.

Organiser Tchad Western said: "We promise you a great value family day out again this year with three terrific games to watch and the chance to take penalty kicks on the sacred turf."

Sheffield United's operations director Simon Argall said: "Falling on the same day as the Blades' own cup final, we are sure these matches will be equally important to those playing, and since many of the players are Blades supporters, we are glad they will be able to watch the match at the ground later."

Children's Hospital fundraiser Cheryl Ridge said: "We want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in the Fair Play League for their amazing support for the hospital's work. We know it will be another fantastic event and wish all the teams the best -fingers crossed for the weather!"
