Rape-accused remanded into custody after court hearing

A 25-year-old man has appeared in court charged with four counts of rape following alleged attacks in Rotherham at the weekend.

South Yorkshire Police charged Nicholas Totty, of Newman Road, Whiston, Rotherham, with the offences on Tuesday night.

Totty is charged with four counts of rape, wounding with intent, wounding, assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm, and appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court.
