Ramblers groups from all over South Yorkshire will be out and about enjoying the lighter and warmer evenings as part of the Ramblers Summer Evening Walks Festival in July.
Walkers will be putting on a series of short walks - between about three and seven miles, which are free to join and start after the working day.
Simon Barnett, director of walking programmes and promotions at the Ramblers said: “The extra hours of daylight provide a fantastic chance to unwind by enjoying a summer evening walk. “You can make the most of the light evenings by joining like-minded people to stretch your legs and explore the footpaths where you live or work. “By their nature evening walks are short, starting at around three miles, and so they are perfect for newcomers.”
