Naturalist Chris Packham will be joining protesters to highlight the illegal killing of Hen Harriers in the UK.
The protest will be this Sunday, August 9, three days before the start of Grouse Shooting Season, in the Goyt Valley, Derbyshire.
Chris said: “We need to work harder than ever to make progress because, very sadly, this spring five male English Hen Harriers mysteriously disappeared from their breeding grounds.
“I’m sick and tired of tolerating criminal persecution.”
The first Hen Harrier Day was last year when hundreds braved torrential rain at a rally in Derbyshire.
Charlie Moores, of Birders Against Wildlife Crime, said: “Regardless of the weather there’s every indication that the UK’s most persecuted bird of prey can expect even stronger support this year.”
