ANIMAL loving members of a Doncaster coffee club have left a pest charity purring with pleasure.

The Peacehaven Coffee Club, whose members meet for a drink together at the Peacehaven church building in Barnby Dun, decided to help the PDSA with a donation after raising £400 through a series of events.

They raised the money in four weeks by selling coffee and raffle tickets at their meetings.

The PDSA pays for vets for pets whose owners cannot afford to have them treated.

Mayreen Mycroft, manager of the charity’s shop at Priory Place, visited the club to pick up the donation and raised a mug to celebrate.
