Have your say

TRAIN enthusiasts group the Don Valley Railway organisation holds its annual general meeting on Monday, January 16.

The meeting, from 7.30pm in The Harlequin pub, Nursery Street, Sheffield, will discuss how new British-built lightweight trains could be trialled on the Don Valley line – which could potentially transform branch line services across the country.

The group is also involved in discussions with Network Rail about environmental improvement work along the Don Valley line.

It is also seeking conservation volunteers to take part in track safety training – call 07986 759259, or attend the meeting.
