CAMPaigners wanting to restore passenger trains between Sheffield and Stocksbridge are holding a public drop-in meeting about their proposals.
Don Valley Railway, whose plans have been backed by a feasibility study, is looking to raise funding for the plans.
The meeting is at Stocksbridge Rugby Club on Wednesday, starting from 8pm.
A spokesman said: “The purpose of the meeting is to allow more people to get involved and find out more about the progress of the project. Following this inaugural event, meetings will be held on a regular monthly basis.”
Don valley Railway is also launching a new petition and asking people to sign in support of its project.
The petition can be signed online at http://tinyurl.com/8dp5dbq or on paper at public buildings in the Stocksbridge and Deepcar area which would benefit most from the scheme.
