DETECTIVES investigating the knifepoint hold-up of a businessman at his Doncaster home are still following up leads in the five-day-old inquiry.
A van driven by a suspect who is said to have conveyed two male suspects from Sprotbrough to Cusworth and York Bar is being forensically examined, along with items taken from the Ford Transit.
Closed-circuit TV images taken from the security system at the Spring Lane home of Adrian and Vicki Welch are also being closely scrutinised.
Mr and Mrs Welch, who run a family glazing firm in Hyde Park, were having their tea last Friday evening when two intruders jumped into the garden and threatened the couple and two of their young children with knives.
Mr Welch, aged 44, was punched in the face as one of the raiders forced him to open the family safe which contained a bag of cash.
The getaway driver sped off when a neighbour raised the alarm - and the two robbers, both wearing comic-type masks, had to make their escape on foot.
They were picked up soon after by the van which then dropped them at The Sun Inn on Barnsley Road. A 22-year-old Woodlands man was arrested on suspicion of being the driver and questioned before being released on bail.
Officers investigating the incident are still appealing for witnesses, or for anyone with information, to call South Yorkshire Police immediately on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting Operation Attrist, reference 857, of September 7.
