TWO quad bikers were hurt - one seriously - after their vehicles crashed.
The men were travelling along the A57 Worksop Road, close to Lindrick Golf Club, when they collided.
Police said a blue Yamaha quad bike was travelling behind a yellow Suzuki quad bike in the direction of the M1 motorway when the one in front lost power and slowed down.
The Yamaha swerved but there was a ‘glancing blow’ and the quad ended up leaving the road, crossing a grass verge and striking a tree.
The rider, a man in his mid-40s from Gateford, Worksop, suffered broken ribs and was taken to the Northern General Hospital.
The Suzuki rider, a 38-year-old from New Rossington, Doncaster, escaped with cuts and bruises and was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision at 4.50pm on Friday to come forward. Call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020 and quote incident 841 of September 16.
