BOLLYWOOD glamour is coming to Rotherham this month – to support dementia charity Lost Chord.
A Bollywood Ball is being held at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium on November 24. And Lost Chord, the organisation that provides musical stimulation for people with dementia, will be one of the main beneficiaries of the event, along with Rotherham Hospice and Rotherham Hospital Charity.
“Music touches all our lives in so many ways and is vital for making a link with people living with dementia,” said Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller.
“Here it will be the music of Bollywood that makes a difference to the lives of so many people across the region and we are extremely grateful for the support of the United Multicultural Centre.
“Their support is particularly important to us at a time when we are actively researching ways of taking our work into new areas and communities.”
Tickets cost £35 or £350 for a table of 10 and include drinks on arrival, a three course Indian dinner and entertainment by Bollywood dancers.
