SCHOOL pupils experienced a day in the life of a serviceman or woman.
Thousands of youngsters, including a group from Tapton School in Sheffield, took part in the first Armed Forces exhibition of careers.
The event was action packed with a range of activities including a paintballing range, challenging assault courses and insights into the roles undertaken by the military’s medical, engineering, infantry and logistics regiments.
Conner Walker, a pupil at Tapton, said: “It was amazing. My favourite part of the day was being able to see all the military vehicles and find out how they work. I never realised the number of careers available in the military – it’s been a real eye-opener.”
