YOUNGSTERS sent out a stern message to motorists in Sheffield during a pro-safety march.
An army of more than 40 pupils from the city’s St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Barnsley Road, donned high visibility vests and took to the streets as part of road safety charity Brake’s walking bus.
Event organisers asked schools across the UK to highlight road safety by taking children out of the classroom to pound the pavements.
Community police officers, school staff, parents and carers accompanied the Year One and Two pupils as they took a half-hour walking tour of their local area.
Victoria Elliott, learning mentor at St Patrick’s, said: “It was a great success. We had banners and got beeps and cheers from passing cars showing their support.”
