Schoolgirl Rosanna Flowers has been praised after she organised her first fundraising event – at the age of just eight.

The Ashdell Preparatory School pupil put on a second hand book sale with the help of her mum after she was inspired by a television advert for Water Aid.

Rosanna, who raised £108 for the charity, said: “I am quite pleased. In the future I would like to do more fundraising and help save some tigers.”
