Plans for a new pub on a Sheffield business park are set to be approved next week.
The proposals for a Hungry Horse pub at Broadfield Business Park, Broadfield Close, Heeley, have been objected to by three residents who say it will create more traffic, is out of place and there is ‘no local need’.
Another objection said the ‘nature of the development is a type normally found in out of town retail and business areas or large urban retail parks’.
They added: “This site is a small business park bordering increasingly vibrant Abbeydale Road which has several relatively new independent businesses bringing visitors from around the city.”
One representation in support welcomed the employment opportunities for 76 workers and said there was a need for another pub apart from The Broadfield.
The pub would have 79 car parking spaces, reports to the planning committee next Tuesday said.
Planners said there were no other suitable sites found despite the use not being preferred for the area.
