PEAK District youngsters can prove they know all about the special qualities of the beautiful place in which they live with a new award.
Wildlife, plants and local history are all tested in The Peak District Award, which has been introduced to encourage people to find out more about the area.
The Peak District National Park Authority has launched the award and tested it with Buxton students as well as schoolchildren.
Youngsters chose a special quality and studied it for at least 10 hours with the help of national park rangers and the learning discovery team.
They received their certificates last week.
More schools are to get involved this year.
