Police in Chesterfield are giving cyclists a second chance to have their bikes security marked.
Officers from the Chesterfield Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team are to hold a cycling security event next Saturday, November 17, to help local residents to protect their property.
PCSO John Lockwood, of the Chesterfield Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Having your bicycle security marked will not only help to reduce the potential of having your bike stolen, but it would also help officers to return it should it be recovered.
“We would also advise people to always make sure they store bicycles securely in a shed or garage or use a good quality chain and lock to fix your bike to a secure anchor point.”
The event runs from 10am on the Market Place.
