Pressure on lawyer sparks payout progress
A TEENAGER'S car crash compensation could be paid within days after vital forms arrived, four months after they were promised by a solicitor.
Kim Goodwin, aged 40, of Manor Lane, Wybourn, received parental indemnity forms from Manchester-based Farleys yesterday.
It paves the way for 1,500 compensation to be sent to her on behalf of 17-year-old son Kyle.
Kim contacted Action Desk after the firm promised the forms in October, but they never arrived and she couldn't get through to her solicitor, Jonathan Bridge.
She says the firm also claimed to have sent the forms again on January 29, but they too failed to arrive.
ACTION
Action Desk rang the firm again on Wednesday and the forms arrived the following day.
Kyle suffered whiplash in the crash in 2003 and 1,500 compensation from the other driver's insurers was agreed in 2008.
Mr Bridge, who says he is a partner with 20 years legal experience, sent an email.
It said: "You are factually incorrect as previously indicated. We cannot go into detail about the specifics of any particular case but the client has been contacted since October and settlement has been achieved."
