A children’s television presenter is hoping to set a world record by interviewing 50 celebrities in 24 hours.
Jamie Rickers from Nickelodeon has some famous faces lined up for his bid next month but will have to find the rest on the day.
He will also carry out some interviews in action, swimming with an Olympic athlete and playing tennis against a professional.
The presenter said: “A 24-hour sponsored celebrity headhunt sounds like fun, but I’m under no illusion about how gruelling it is going to be.
“I’m not sat in a radio studio playing records for 24 hours, I’m going to be racing around the whole country, if necessary, getting interviews wherever I can, door-stepping celebrities, trying to gatecrash TV and radio shows, whatever it takes to set the world record.”
He is attempting the feat in order to raise money for children’s charity Unicef.
Mr Rickers appealed to members of the public to support him with sponsorship as well as tip-offs about where celebrities might be.
