HONOURS are being presented at the annual awareness and awards bash held by a Sheffield community group.
The Outreach Improvement Project, based in Burngreave, is holding the event on Saturday, January 7, at Sheffield Town Hall.
The programme, which is independent and entirely self-funded, was initiated by a group of young members of the city’s Somali community.
The aim is to work with young people and to help to improve their future prospects.
Last year, the presentation at Sorby House, on Spital Hill, was attended by 100 people.
The event aimed to ‘celebrate and reward’ positive role models, and awards were given in four categories.
