PRAYERS will be said in a bid to help Doncaster Council next month.
As part of the Diocese’s initiative ‘Ten Days of Prayer’, Doncaster Minster will hold a series of daily prayers at midday from Monday, June 6, to Friday, June 10.
Prayers will be held for 15 minutes for Transforming our Society.
The sessions are timed to enable civic and council dignitaries and workers and shoppers to drop in and pray during difficult economic times.
The prayers on Monday will be for the council, on Tuesday for the NHS, on Wednesday for education, on Thursday for the economy and on Friday for the transformation of the Church.
Rev Canon Dr Paul Shackerley said: “It will be 15 minutes well spent each day in seeking justice and transformation.”
