WORK to install smart new cladding on 1960s tower blocks in Sheffield has been completed and received rave reviews from tenants.
Contractors, Alumet, have carried out the work at Callow Mount, Gleadless.
The company’s chief executive, Gary Summers, said: “The reaction has been extremely satisfying.”
The project involved installing new windows for the total of 292 flats in the blocks, enclosing the balconies and enhancing the towers with smart new cladding.
Residents have been delighted with the results.
Bill Swaby, who lives in Callow House and is an area board member for housing management company, Sheffield Homes, said his flat had been “absolutely transformed” and praised the quality of work and the workmen.
