A BARNSLEY children’s centre has received a ‘good’ report from Ofsted - and rated ‘outstanding’ in three different categories.
Buddies Children’s Centre in Monk Bretton, which is run by the local authority, is used by many of the under-fives in the area.
Parents praised a ‘brilliant atmosphere’ created by very approachable staff, with good quality services which were well used by families.
Youngsters there made good progress and their learning was well tracked and monitored, especially the 20 per cent who found it difficult to keep up.
Manager Sue Duke said: “The team at Buddies are extremely proud and delighted at the outcome of the inspection. To achieve an overall rating of ‘good’ is a reflection of the team’s continuous hard work and dedication.”
