A Sheffield TV and stage actor who has appeared on Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Last Of The Summer Wine has undergone surgery.
Bobby Knutt, aged 69, is currently recovering after underdoing a shoulder operation.
The operation was a success but Knutt remains in hospital after a slight complication.
The actor played Albert Dingle on ITV soap Emmerdale and has had regular roles in 14 pantomimes in Sheffield.
A friend of the man posted on Facebook this evening: “I have just received a phone call from my close friend Bobby Knutt.
“He has no wi-fi in the hospital and so he has asked me to relay the following update.
“His operation has been a success, however, the wound will not stop bleeding. He will remain in hospital for the present. I shall update all his friends at regular intervals.”
