A South Yorkshire run which has helped raise thousands of pounds to help pay for cutting-edge neurosurgical equipment is to take place again this year.

Neurocare’s Head Start event at Rother Valley Country Park will take place on Sunday, April 27.

The charity – which helps fund life-saving work at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital – has raised £48,000 in the past four annual runs.

Money raised will help patients with neurological conditions such as brain tumours.

There will be both a 10km and a 5km course available and both are suitable for people in wheelchairs or pushchairs.

The 10km race costs £13.50 to enter and the 5km race costs £10. To sign up or for more details, visit www.neurocare.org
