so yet another shop in Sheffield city centre has closed, this time the much-loved Pollards tea and coffee shop.
I cannot understand why Sheffield council have left them stuck on their own and not helped them to relocate.
Coun Scriven made me see red with his comment that the closure was nothing to do with the regeneration scheme being shelved but the fact that Pollards had a lot of competition.
Mr Scriven has no idea what he is talking about, as usual. Although Pollards have a cafe, it is the side that sells loose coffee and tea that is unique. As far as I know no-one else does this in Sheffield city centre, certainly not with the knowledge of the staff in Pollards.
