POLICE are urging drivers to make sure the lights on their vehicles are working properly after officers spotted cars with faulty brake lights and headlights switched off.
Over the next few weeks, Hathersage Safer Neighborhood Officers will be stopping vehicles in the Hope Valley with lights out as part of an ongoing road safety campaign.
PCSO Anthony Boswell, from the team, said: “It’s vitally important to make sure your vehicle is in proper working order.
“Although it’s lighter for longer in the evenings, drivers still need to use their headlights when the light drops low. We will be out advising motorists who aren’t using lights properly.”
