A suspected crack den has been shut down by police in Chesterfield, who have also charged a woman with drug dealing offences.
Officers boarded up the terraced house on Winchester Road, Chesterfield, for three months after being granted special permission from the town’s magistrates.
Acting Sergeant Heather Saville of Dunston, Moor and St Helens safer neighbourhood policing team, said: “Residents said they were concerned about suspected illegal activities at this property and the local safer neighbourhood team worked with the council to take action.
“The closure sends out a clear message that this type of behaviour won’t be tolerated.
“We also hope residents will also feel reassured that we are listening to their concerns and will take positive action against anyone involved in illegal or anti-social activity.”
■Gloria Pearce, aged 37, of Winchester Road, is charged with supplying cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis and will appear in court next week.
