Police seize dog and cannabis in police raid in Sheffield

A dog suspected of being a banned breed was seized by police officers during a raid of a house in Sheffield.

The dog was taken from a house in Stradbroke Crescent, Stradbroke and when officers searched the property they found a bag of cannabis.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Officers conducted a warrant on Stradbroke Crescent yesterday under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

"This was after reports and concerns from the community that a banned breed dog was at the address.

"Officers seized a suspected banned breed dog. Whilst at the address approximately six ounces of cannabis were recovered from the address and a male reported for offences."
