Police seek witnesses after woman struck by car in Sheffield

Police officers investigating a collision in Sheffield want to hear from witnesses.

A 46-year-old woman was struck by a green Toyota Avensis on Clarkehouse Road, Broomhill, at 7.20am on Friday.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police closed the road while paramedics treated the woman and inquiries were carried out at the scene.

Anyone witnessed the incident should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 118 of January 16.
