Police have today released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in Sheffield.

The incident is believed to have taken place in August at Scowerdons Fields at the bottom of Dyke Vale Road in Frecheville around 5pm.

Police say the incident was reported after the victim came forward last month.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who might be able to identify the man in the E-fit to contact them.

The offender is described as white with a tanned complexion, with facial stubble, aged between 30-40, around 5ft 6ins, with green/brown eyes, a long nose and of a medium build.

He was reportedly wearing a black cap with a yellow logo on and a dark coloured jumper.

A police spokesperson said: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anything suspicious? Anyone with information is asked to call phone on 101 quoting incident number 729 of 20 October 2015.

“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
