A police probe is underway into the theft of 600 bottles of wine, which could be circulating in the region.
A pallet of wine was delivered to premises near Ilkley, North Yorkshire, on Tuesday, November 8 and was found to be missing the following morning.
The wine has not yet been traced.
North Yorkshire Police said the wine, worth thousands of pounds, included nearly 300 bottles of Domaine des Verchères Mâcon Villages 2014.
A spokesman said: "In the run-up to Christmas, it is possible that the wine may be offered for sale.
"Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the theft, or who is offered wine for sale in suspicious circumstances, to contact them."
