Police probe into theft of £3.5k bracelet in Barnsley

Police officers investigating the theft of a £3,500 bracelet from a shop in Barnsley have issued CCTV images of a man and woman they want to trace.

Officers were called after a white gold diamond set bracelet was stolen from a jewellery shop in High Street, Dodworth.

It was taken at around 11am on Thursday, December 10.

Officers believe the man and woman in the CCTV images could hold vital information about the theft.

The man is his 30s, slim and about 6ft tall.

The woman is thought to be in her early 30s, of a medium build and about 5ft 8ins tall.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers investigating a theft from a jewellers in Barnsley have released CCTV images of two people they would like to trace in connection with the incident.

“At about 11am on Thursday 10 December, it was reported that a white gold diamond set bracelet, worth a reported £3,500, was stolen from a shop in High Street, Dodworth.

“Police are keen to trace the two people pictured in the CCTV images and are asking for the public’s help to identify them.

“Do you recognise the man and woman? Did you witness the theft?”
