Investigations are underway into a series of of burglaries in Sheffield.

Doors were forced open in Leighton Drive and Spring Close View, Gleadless Valley and a house was broken into in New Cross Drive, Woodhouse.

South Yorkshire Police said two men were disturbed breaking into a house in Argyle Road, Meersbrook and another man was disturbed breaking into a house in Charlotte Road, Highfield.

There was also an attempted burglary in Fern View Close, Hackenthorpe.

Sheds have been broken into in Tillotson Rise, Heeley; the Archer Road allotments in Millhouses and Halfway Close, Halfway, over recent days and garages have been broken into in

Parkland Crescent, Birley and Twentywell Rise, Bradway.
