A COFFEE morning has been planned by police as a way of officers giving out safety advice.
Police in Hasland, Chesterfield, will meet locals in the church hall on Hampton Street from 10am until noon on Wednesday, September 7.
Officers will be on hand to talk to residents about any community concerns they may have and offer advice on home and personal security.
There will also be stalls with information about joining a Neighbourhood Watch scheme and a representative of the council’s Handy Van Network, which offers practical home help for the elderly and vulnerable.
The Hasland and St Leonard’s Caring for the Community Group will serve refreshments, and there will be bingo and a tombola stall.
