An elderly pedestrian who died after a collision with a coach in Chesterfield has been identified.
At about 1.20pm on Wednesday, February 25, a National Express coach hit an 87-year-old man as it pulled out from the bus station on to Beetwell Street.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has now been identified as Donald Wooley, of Cheshire.
The road was closed until 5.45pm while police carried out inquiries.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: “Officers from the collision investigation unit are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the crash and are asking witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 287 of 25/0/2015.”
