Police make three arrests after Rotherham mum dies in crash

Police have arrested three men in connection with the death of a young mum in Rotherham.

Megan Borrows, aged 24, died when the car she was a passenger in crashed into parked cars in Kimberworth at around 2.30am on Thursday.

Two 22-year-old men and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have all now been released under investigation.

It was reported a grey MG ZS was travelling along Kimberworth Road, Rotherham, when it was involved in a collision with two parked vehicles, near to the junction with Psalters Lane.

A 24-year-old woman passenger in the MG suffered fatal injuries in the collision and sadly died. Her family has been informed and they are said to be receiving support from specialist officers.

A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries and currently remains in hospital.

Police say they are continuing to make enquiries and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
