Police make slavery arrests in Masbrough, Rotherham

Police arrested a 19-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man in Rotherham for a suspected slavery offence.

Officers detained the pair on suspicion of arranging the travel of another person with the view to exploiting the alleged victim in the Masbrough area at about 8.45am on Wednesday (February 17). Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

The victim is receiving ongoing support from specialist officers and enquiries in to the matter remain ongoing.
