POLICE are appealing for information after a 53-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after colliding with a tram on Church Street in Sheffield city centre at the weekend.
The collision happened at around 11am on Saturday when the woman was reported to have walked into the path of a Supertram travelling from Castle Square to Church Street.
The woman, who police say is local, collided with the driver’s nearside of the tram.
She sustained serious head injuries and is being treated at the Northern General Hospital.
The 48-year-old Sheffield woman driving the tram was not injured in the collision.
