Police hunt for brazen robber who threatened Sheffield shop staff with metal bar

Police are hunting for a brazen robber who barged his way into a Sheffield petrol station shop and threatened staff with a metal bar before making off with cash and cigarettes.

Police have today released CCTV images of a the man inside Texaco garage on City Road in Arbourthorne at around 4.40am on Friday, February 18.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Damage was caused to a display in the shop but no one was injured. The man is said to have taken cash and some cigarettes before running out of the shop and turning left along City Road.

"CCTV images from the store have been released in connection to the incident and officers would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man pictured, as they believe he could assist with enquiries.

"If you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident number 209 of 18 February 2017.
