COMMUNITY projects which tackle policing priorities across South Yorkshire are in with a chance of sharing £190,000.
South Yorkshire Police Authority, which oversees the way the county’s police force is run and performs, is asking voluntary organisations and community groups to apply for a share of a cash pot.
Grants from £30,000 to £50,000 are available under the Community Grants Scheme cash scheme to projects which address at least one of the priorities listed in the local policing plan.
The priorities listed include enhancing community safety, reducing serious and organised crime and protecting South Yorkshire from terrorism and extremism.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Police Authority website - www.southyorks.gov.uk - and submitted by April 29.
