Police cordoned off an area of land in Sheffield where an injured man was found.
South Yorkshire Police said emergency services were called to Oakham Drive, close to the junction with Rutland Road, Neepsend, over concerns for the welfare of a man there.
They said a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation is underway into what happened to the man, with officers wanting to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the former Ski Village.
Emergency services were called at around 10.15pm on Sunday, September 25.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Emergency services were called to Oakham Drive following concerns for the welfare of a man at that location.
"The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear but officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area."
