People interested in becoming police officers are being reminded that they have just two days to register interest.
South Yorkshire Police is recruiting 369 new bobbies over the next three years, with the first phase of recruitment, for 112 new officers, beginning next month.
Those keen on the new roles have to register interest between 9.30am on Tuesday, March 1 and 11.59pm on Thursday, March 3.
Chief Constable David Crompton said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an officer on the frontline. In some ways, the role has changed significantly since my days as a PC but at the heart, the aims are the same - to tackle criminality and provide a safe South Yorkshire for us all to live in.
“There are many policing challenges at the moment, but we want to ensure that South Yorkshire Police is in the strongest position possible for the future. We are therefore looking for the best candidates who share our commitment to serve our communities.”
