Police chased nuisance biker

A NUISANCE motorcyclist has been arrested after he was chased by the police helicopter.

The man had been spotted illegally riding an off-road motorcycle on the road in a Doncaster village when he was pursued by officers on Thursday afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said: “A male was seen on an off road motorbike on Ings Lane, Skellow.

“He left the bike in a field and ran onto Repton Road. He was followed by the force helicopter and located by officers on foot around 12.15pm. He was arrested and the bike recovered.”

Officers in the helicopter guided the policemen to the scene using their aerial viewpoint.

Police carry out regular clampdowns on off-road motorcycles in the borough.
