Police in Sheffield have been called to reports of an unexploded WW2 munition in Sheffield this afternoon.

The force was called to Carbrook Street, Attercliffe after reports of the WW2 bomb being uncovered.

Officers are still investigating but the road has reopened. It is not yet clear whether it was a false alarm, given that the road is now open again- more to follow.

It is the third time in a couple of weeks that reports of an unexploded bomb has been reported in Sheffield, after a shell was found in Matilda Street last week.
